ROBBERY/USE OF A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY
Arlington Boulevard/Woodlawn Avenue
Police responded to a robbery on Saturday, November 1. Two 22-year-old Falls Church-area men were walking in the area of Arlington Boulevard and Woodlawn Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m. Two suspects approached, one brandishing a handgun, and demanded money. The victims handed over cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspects fled on foot. They were both described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds. One suspect was wearing blue jeans and a red T-shirt. The other suspect was wearing white pants and a green T-shirt. The victims were not injured.
ROBBERY
Arlington Boulevard 6300
A 25-year-old Falls Church-area man was robbed as he stood waiting for a bus in the 6300 block of Arlington Boulevard on Sunday, November 2. Shortly after 12:30 a.m., two men approached the victim, one displaying a handgun. They demanded money and rifled through the victim's pockets. They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim was not injured. Both suspects were described as Hispanic, in their late 20s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. One suspect was wearing a black and white striped coat and black pants. The other suspect was wearing faded, blue jeans and a black jacket.

* A Crime Solvers tip was instrumental in helping homicide detectives identify the suspect in the murder of Mazhar Nazir. Officers discovered him dead inside a taxi cab on Sunday, November 2 around 1:25 p.m. Evan Gargiulo, 22, of 1727 Port Place in Reston was arrested on Tuesday, November 4 and charged with one count of murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Gargiulo turned himself in at the Reston District police station at about 5:30 p.m.
STOLEN AUTO/ARREST
Leesburg Pike 8500
Police arrested a man for auto theft on Monday, November 3 around 5:30 p.m. approximately one hour after taking the initial report. Patrol officers received a vehicle tracking signal emanating from the car and were able to locate it driving out of Tysons Corner Mall. They attempted to catch up with the vehicle but it sped off, striking a citizen's vehicle. They tracked the car to the 7900 block of Westpark Drive where they found it unoccupied. Investigating officers located Hesham Hatar, 20, of 4103 Cressida Place in Woodbridge, walking nearby and took him into custody. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with grand larceny, speed to elude, hit and run and destruction of property. The destruction of property charge stems from initial damage done to the vehicle when it was stolen.
ROBBERY
Pimmit Drive 2300
A 78-year-old Falls Church man was robbed in the 2300 block of Pimmit Drive on Wednesday, November 5. He was in a parking lot around 7:45 p.m. when a man appeared from behind, implied a weapon and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured. No suspect information is available.
