Distance Learning Presentation Opportunities--Friday Deadline!

Hello ALAO Distance Learning Interest Group!

 

As everyone settles in for another exciting Fall Semester, I wanted to point out that the deadline is approaching for two fantastic proposal opportunities for distance librarians!  This Friday (September 16th) is the deadline for both ALA Conference's  "Embedded Librarian Best Practices: You can do it, we can help" program (Anaheim, CA), and for the 15th Distance Library Services Conference (Memphis, TN).  Relevant links for conference information and submitting proposals are available from the DLIG blog at http://distancelibrarians.wordpress.com/ .

 

I'd also like to welcome DLIG's new Co-Chair, Jessie Long.  Jessie is a Public Services Librarian at Miami University's Middletown campus; she is just starting out her 2 year appointment to the Interest Group.  I will be cycling off in July 2012 & am hoping that one of you will be interested in filling the vacancy for next year.
