Hi,

Local lack of knowledge here...

I want to tow my OK a bit of a distance (proper highway speeds and all) and want to get the bearings checked before I do. I asked a couple of garages that have done car work for me before and they went "oooh...we don't do trailers". So - can someone recommend a garage or mechanic in the DL area that can do a check/service of dinghy trailer bearings before I try to do highway miles?

It'd be great to find a place that I can tow into  - get a fix - and then drive away from onto the motorway.

Thanks

H

Hugh,

There's a guy in Georges Place in Dun Laoghaire on the site of what used to be Crawford Motors.  I think it is still there.  If so it is called Tramyard Motors

He did a job for me last year on wheels/tyres for my wag trailer but he also services cars.  I found him very good because the bigger places didn't want the work and he did.

He would certainly be worth a phone call.
