Responsibilities
Define system scope/objectives and craft detailed specifications.
Participate in data architecture and modeling, statistical/regression analysis, and best‑practice implementation.
Collaborate with IT and business teams, working closely with senior members.
Prepare functional specs, technical designs, and test plans.
Build data pipelines: ingestion, integration, preparation, NLP, data‑warehouse/BI.
Design and implement BI & analytics projects across hybrid environments (on‑prem/cloud).
Support various data integration platforms and provide end‑user technical assistance.
Maintain flexible attendance and comply with background checks and drug screenings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience.
5+ years in Data Engineering
, with at least
4–5 years on Talend and Big Data
.
3–5 years hands‑on in data engineering, visualization, or data science.
3–5 years working with distributed DBs and data lakes.
Experience with Talend DI, microservices, CI/CD, Git/SVN, and complex transformations.
Proficiency in SQL (DB2/Oracle/Greenplum/S3).
Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, Hive, Pig, MapReduce, Sqoop, Spark).
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Proficient in programming languages like R, SAS, Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, or Perl.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Git/SVN experience for Talend artifact management.
Experience with Talend environment deployments and migrations.
