Are there any experts out there who can tell me what this place in Denmark
might be called nowadays?

This placename is found in a marriage record in the Cape (South Africa)
around 1730. It's possible that the name was dutchified.

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

What is the country in that record. Then the words "Diep" and "Kanaal" are
Dutch.

Have a nice day
