"To dual-boot Linux on an iMac, you'll need to follow these general steps:

1. **Prepare your iMac:**
- Back up all important data to prevent potential loss during the installation process.
- Check your iMac model and specifications to ensure compatibility with the Linux distribution you want to install.

2. **Create space for Linux:**
- Use Disk Utility on macOS to shrink the existing macOS partition and create space for the Linux installation. Alternatively, you can use Disk Utility to create a separate partition for Linux.

3. **Download the Linux distribution:**
- Choose a Linux distribution that supports the hardware of your iMac. Popular options include Ubuntu, Fedora, or Linux Mint. Download the ISO image of the distribution from its official website.

4. **Create a bootable USB drive:**
- Use a tool like Etcher or Rufus to create a bootable USB drive from the downloaded Linux ISO image.

5. **Disable Secure Boot:**
- If your iMac has Secure Boot enabled, you might need to disable it from the macOS settings. Secure Boot can sometimes interfere with the installation of non-Apple operating systems.

6. **Boot from the USB drive:**
- Restart your iMac and hold down the Option/Alt key during startup. This will bring up the boot menu. Select the USB drive with the Linux installer from the menu.

7. **Install Linux:**
- Follow the installation instructions provided by the Linux distribution. When prompted, choose the custom/manual installation option and select the partition you created for Linux. Proceed with the installation process.

8. **Install the bootloader:**
- After installation, the bootloader (usually GRUB or a similar one) will allow you to choose between macOS and Linux when you start your iMac. Make sure the bootloader recognizes both operating systems.

9. **Complete installation:**
- Finish the installation process and restart your iMac. You should now see a bootloader menu that allows you to choose between macOS and Linux.

10. **Finalize settings:**
- Once in Linux, make necessary configurations, install updates, and any required drivers to ensure proper functionality.

Remember, while the process is generally straightforward, it's important to proceed with caution and follow the instructions carefully to avoid accidental data loss or system errors. Also, specific steps might vary based on the Linux distribution you choose and the iMac model you're using. Always refer to the official documentation or community resources for the particular distribution you're installing for any model-specific or updated guidance."

Tak for tilbagemelding - det ser ikke særligt nemt ud!

Jeg må nok i første omgang fokusere på pkt. 1, pind 2! :)
