The sound goes either through desktop speakers or headphones. I want the sound to come out of PC speaker / beeper, whatever it's called, the one connected to motherboard pins.
Ever since the update to Beeper Setup 3.71.16 for windows a few days ago, Beeper has frozen immediately upon opening (before loading any chat networks). I've tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling. I'm on Surface Pro X (ARM64), Windows 11 latest beta. Has anyone else had the same problem and/or found a solution?
If it's coming from the motherboard, that could be more difficult. But if the MB brand includes a windows client, it would likely show a cause. The beeper is on the MB itself, so muting windows sound should not stop these.

I am installing a new alarm system and have very old casement windows. Before I order more contact sensors I am worried these would not detect if someone breaks the old single pane glass to enter. Am I better to have 1 motion detector to cover the rooms with the windows? I would need 3 contact sensors per room for all opening windows. Any advantages to contact sensors? Thanks, I have not used a Ring Alarm before so want to be sure before ordering more items.
I'm using keyboard.h on a Leonardo to communicate to a PC via buttons as keystrokes. I would like to make the PC generate the windows "beep" on certain keystrokes. I can't seem to find a reference on how to do that.
For Example...

The tldr though would be the windows alarm is software. When the computer is shutdown, the software isn't running (like a alarm clock not having power). And thus, since the software isn't running, the alarm will not function when the system is shutdown.
