Edited objects in admin interface aren't saved

I'm having this weird problem in my admin interface where deleting and creating objects works fine, but if I try to edit an object, the changes aren't saved.  There are no errors and the save button appears to work, until you look back at the object you saved and it doesn't reflect the changes at all.  This happens when served with nginx/gunicorn and with the manage.py development server.  Debug mode does not provide any extra information.

Has anyone seen this before? 

I'm not sure what extra info you might need.
