Django cms and templates

Dear all

I have a django project done with Django 2.1 and successfully made an apphook to the cms page bt the problem is that the template file does not display model data unless if I remove the syntax { %extends base.html %} at the top of the template html file
What could be causing this?

you check app name  127.0.0.80000/app name
