Sorry David, I should have been clearer.

The .com will never work unless you own that domain, which I doubt. Also, you need the colon:

The url you want is  http://localhost:8000/polls

Note: no .com, there's a : between localhost and 8000. (*tells the browser to talk to the server on port 8000 instead of the regular http port which is 80)
