url help

hello sweets!!!

I'm trying to display about page under rango app in my tango project.  I'm getting error below when I go to http://127.0.0.1:8000/rango/about.  Not sure what is wrong with   (r'^about/', 'rango.views.about'),,.  help.

Not Found

The requested URL /rango/about was not found on this server.

My rango/urls.py

from django.conf.urls import patterns, url

from rango import views

urlpatterns = patterns('',

        url(r'^$', views.index, name='index'),

            (r'^about/', 'rango.views.about'),

)

You have to be really clever to come up with a genuinely dangerous
thought. I am disheartened that people can be clever enough to do that
and not clever enough to do the obvious thing and KEEP THEIR IDIOT
MOUTHS SHUT about it, because it is much more important to sound
intelligent when talking to your friends.

remove the dollar sign.

 (r'^rango/', include('rango.urls')),

Yep that. The $ sign indicates "this is the end of the url".

(actually, it's a generic regex that means "this is the end of the
search string" in the same way that ^ indicates "this is the start of
the search string".)
