Django Online appointment scheduler

Hi, I am new to Django. I want to build web app which allows a user to schedule appointment by looking at a service( business service like Salon, Spa,  ) calendar and book a slot which is available. 

It would be great if someone can direct me to right path where there are enough resources to understand basic of scheduling calendar events with django.
