Contributing, docs issue, UUID issue

Hi all,

I'm working to include django-taggit as a dependency of a project called OpenWISP 2, specifically for this feature: #54 Add template tags.

While working on the integration, I noticed a few issues:

• Automatic slug doesn't work when using UUID primary keys #478
• How to setup a development environment for contributing? #479
• Links to external apps are broken #477

So here I am, I will try to give my contribution to address these.
