Hiring for a Slovenian programmer on a very interesting project

Hello, 

I'm part of a group of entrepreneurs from the US, the UK, and Denmark. We do startups of different types and we work together to develop business when we see opportunities in the market. It is a talented and friendly group, and we have a horizontal and collaborative dynamic where everyone plays a role in making decisions and working on complex and interesting problems. Currently, we are looking for a programmer from Slovenia who has deep knowledge and experience with Django / Python for a major new project. We want to offer this person a salary that would be competitive with the best Slovenian programmers, and we also want to offer them a key role in what should be a very exciting and challenging project.

A few questions then: 

1.) How much would a competitive salary be for a Slovenian programmer with good experience in Django / Python?

2.) What are the best forums or websites to find programmers Django / Python in Slovenia?

Hey Jeb,

thanks for getting to me.

1) It really depends, since in last years a lot of developers started to work for american companies. I'm contracting for $85/h. Slovenian salaries for senior developers are around $40/h.

2) I'm hosting Python meetups and could help you find candidates, depending on your needed skills/timing and willingness to compensate for my help.
