AppEngine version of Django Rest API?

OK, now for my second question :)

I'm currently using django_rest_api with app engine, which obviously
requires a few modifications, and was wondering whether (1) anyone
else is interested, and (2) if so, whether the preferred method for
contributing/working together would be creating a branch on the same
project, or creating a separate project? (I'd be keen for the branch
so it's easier to find?)

I'd create a issue on the projects' site and add a patch to it.
