client library to interact with REST Framework API (Core API alternative)

Hello,

This document seems to recommend that the Core API project is used as a client for interacting with REST Framework APIs: https://www.django-rest-framework.org/topics/api-clients/#installing-the-javascript-client

Unfortunately, looking at the GitHub org, it seems that the project is no longer maintained: https://github.com/core-api (I was specifically looking to use the JS client)

Are there any easy-to-use client libraries? Of course, I could interact with my API the "normal" way by simply making requests to endpoints but it'd be nice if I could avoid that boilerplate.
