Hi all,

This will be a quick question. in the source code, under the "sites" directory, there are a "sandbox" site and a "demo" site. out of curiosity, what's the difference between the two, and which site is a better one for me to learn how to use django-oscar?

Thanks a lot!

The sandbox is intended to be a vanilla install of Oscar with as little customisation as possible.   It's built automatically to http://sandbox.oscar.tangentlabs.co.uk/ where people can poke it (and do some free QA for me).

The demo is supposed to be a fully featured demo of Oscar's capabilities.  It should:
  • Have a custom skin and template customisations
  • Integrate with several payment gateways
  • Showcase complicated shipping methods and offers
  • Have a catalogue featuring a variety of product classes
BUT, I haven't got around to doing much with the demo site yet so most of the above is still on the todo list.  As it stands, the demo is very similar to the sandbox site.

So I would recommend using the sandbox site as a guide for now.

PS - I'll add a README to the sites folder that explains this point.

Thanks a lot!
