Django-oscar as app server for android app.

I want to know is it possible to use oscar to serve data to android/IOS as well ?

I am not willing to use webview in android.

Hi,

We are building up an app for the e-commerce marketplace build using Django Oscar. It is not completely generic but we are adding modules one at time. You can try the app her - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cheripo.android. 

To make it easier strip down the app to minimum functionality and then start adding APIs. For our prupose we have integrated oscar with djangrestframework as API interface and it work likes a charm. I will be glad to help you to get started on your project.

How did you handle checkouts? Is it the server or client who does the transaction with the payment gateway?

Hi, I am using the django-oscar-api but the API-ROOT does not return the categories and therefore cannot display product by category. Any reasons for such and is there a way of implementing this?
