recommendation concerning payment events/transactions

Hi all

Reading the source, I see that there are "order.PaymentEvents", that
are, quite complex (tied to lines, etc.), and "payment.Transaction",
which is only tied to an "payment.Source".

If I dont need to handle any line specific and complex situations, would
it be enough to just use "payment.Transaction", to track payment and
possible refunds? Or do I just dont get the concept?
