End of Life for Amazon FPS:

Is there a plan to migrate the django-merchant to support the Amazon's new Login and Payment service?

Hello,
Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware that FPS was getting EOLed.
I will have a look at the Amazon's new Login and Pay with
documentation and let you know. But just from a quick reading of the
link that you sent looks like the Login and Pay doesn't have recurring
subscriptions. Is there anything really compelling in this new payment
service?

But as always, we are open to pull requests :)

Hi, Thejaswi,

The new Login and Pay with Amazon changed the recurring payment to a new name, Pay with Amazon Automatic Payments:

It is the Amazon brand which makes this payment method highly valuable. They offer the same customer guarantees for the payees as those customers who purchased commodities from the Amazon marketplace. That would increase the conversion rate substantially for an e-commerce site.

I'm attaching their migration guide. Let me know if you get a chance to look into this and if there is any plan to support the migration

Thank you
Andrew

Sadly I cannot sign up for this service from here in India because it requires a valid Amazon Seller account. Is there a test/sandbox access available somewhere on the site?

Hi, Thejaswi,

I can set up an invitation to you to share my sandbox account.

Please let me know if you want to do that. Is this your email for the invitation: thejaswi...@gmail.com?

Thank you
Andrew
