image wall

Hi!

I am looking for a base upon wich to build an image wall (a normal big jpg or png image made of mutliple smaller images that are already in my database). More images are added regularly so the idea is to generate it regularly (daily) and automagically through a celery task for instance.

Do you think django-imagekit is a good base to start hacking? Should I use another django or python module or juste do it myself?
