Hi - now that the application period is over, mentors need to be
reviewing the applications. If there is a student application that you
are interested in being a mentor for, you can also make that request
when reviewing the applications. The sooner you can let me know if
there's a specific project you'd like to mentor, the better.

Do we have an idea of how many students are likely to be accepted for Django?

I'm not sure if this is done before, during, or after the review process.

Hi, Ben,

It's actually quite confusing and mysterious. They have asked us how many
slots we want. They originally allocated 4. I asked them to increase it to 6
(which is what we had last year, I believe). In looking through the
applications, there were a few that were duplicates, or very similar, so I
thought that would be sufficient. Have you had a chance to look through all
the applications? Do you think we'd need more than 6 for any reason (we have
enough potential mentors)?
