thumbnail:format in Live system

Hi,
in the local system the thumbnail:format works well. Now the Website is online and the function only works with *.png not with *.jpg...
I have no idea :-/
I going crazy after 4 hours... please help

Sounds like PIL or Pillow was built without jpeg support.
