Hi all,

Second edition of this Python Argentina (PyAr) four-day event is nearing
and things indicate it will be even better than last year's with more
Python enthusiasts assisting to the gathering, many of them Django
users.

Trying to take advantage of the motivation than only face to face
interaction and a beautiful natural environment can provide, I'm
organizing a sprint for work on Django. Timing seems good because if
things go as planned, 1.1 beta will have been released one day before
it begins. I think a one-day sprint would be ideal.

I'd like to ask core developers if there would be any possibility
of having one or more of them available on IRC to provide guidance
and possibly (and hopefully) reviewing/committing patches.

Also (and related to this), in order to allow sprinters to reservr time and
brain cycles for the activity among other competing interests I'd like to
ask what would be a good date for the sprint (PyCamp will be from
Saturday 21 to Tuesday 24.)

At that date, the venue (and in fact, all of Argentina) will be back on
UTC-3.

Regards,

Hey Ramiro --

Sounds great -- we could use the help getting bugs closed for 1.1!

I can be available some of Monday 3/23 and most of Tuesday 3/24; I'll
make a point of being in #django-sprint whenever I'm available.

I'm not a core dev but I'll try to be around to bounce ideas around as well.

I'm at UTC+9, so there isn't a huge overlap of times when I will be
awake and useful to you. On top of that, I will AFK for 21-22 March,
so I won't be able to help out until Monday/Tuesday, However, I'll
hang around in #django-sprint when I can.

Yours,
