Rest API

Hello, I found a blog article from last year about a rest api for django-cms:

The article references the following github repo:

The repo seems pretty dead to me or at least not very active. What is the state of this? Having a REST API for django-cms becomes more important every month, since more and more applications use SPA frameworks like React, Angular, Vue etc.

Between these two a decent solution can be found I think.
