Python Backend Developer (m/f)

As a passionate mobile start-up from Berlin, we have created a design-orientated lifestyle product that brings unique cooking experiences to our users’ kitchens. Having started as an iOS based cookbook 2.0 with photo and video recipes, we are currently working towards connecting food lovers around the world in an active in-app community. We are proud that Apple awarded us "Best of 2014" only 10 months after our launch. We are now looking for new dedicated team members who would like to become part of our continuous success story. We don't just offer a nice office space in the heart of Berlin, but also the opportunity to break out of the normal office life and take part in exciting photo and video shoots for our new recipes.

Your responsibilities:

• ·        Join our development team (iOS, Android, and web) and build a thriving, international product available in 12 languages and implement exciting new features
  
• ·        Create and optimize our systems and take responsibility for a stable backend solution for more than 7 million users
  
• ·        Work closely with our app developers to define the API that drives our apps
  
• ·        Responsible for migrating community data to our new backend systems
  
• ·        Prototype, evaluate, and play with new technologies as part of a continuing optimization process
  
• ·        Work together with an interdisciplinary, creative team of product managers, designers and testers 
  
• ·        Evaluate new technologies as part of a continuing optimization process
  

Your profile:

• ·        Degree in computer science or relevant working experience 
  
• ·        In-depth experience in scalable server and database architecture
  
• ·        Ability to develop creative solutions using Python and Django, knowledgability in Django-CMS and use of PostgreSQL is a plus
  
• ·        Experienced with Microservices and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  
• ·        You have a keen eye for server security and a clean software architecture
  
• ·        High level of motivation and dedication, independent and structured way of working
