Hi all,
Sincere apologies for the late mail. As discussed at the meetup last week, I’d like
to ask for your help for the Django Girls workshop to be held at the first day of
the EuroPython conference (July 21) in Berlin.
Here is how it is described on the website (
http://djangogirls.org/):
We believe that the IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more
women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to
program and become one of us - female programmers!
Workshops are free of charge and if you can’t afford coming to Berlin,
but you are very motivated to learn and then share your knowledge with others,
we have some funds to help you out with your travel costs and accommodation.
Don’t wait too long - you can apply for a pass only until 30th of June!
The organizers are still looking for help to mentor the attendees:
We're looking for experienced Python and Django programmers who are attending
EuroPython 2014 and want to contribute by teaching women to program on the
first day of EuroPython.
If you feel like this is something for you, don't hesitate and contact us:
he...@djangogirls.org.
I appreciate if you would consider helping as it will be a boon to our community
to get more female developers involved with Django and web development in general.
For more information please check out the FAQ on the website (
http://djangogirls.org/)
and don’t hesitate to ping me here or privately via email.
Thanks,
Jannis
