greetings from Europe :-)) or more specifically Cornwall in the UK. It has been great keeping in touch with the sailboat meet up since stumbling across it on the net earlier this year. Looks and sounds like a fantastic gathering, really lively and DIY!!
There are a lot of sailboat dwellers living around here with a strong DIY ethic. We do meet up here and there along our coastline and a lot of boats come from the rich maritime heritage (trade and fishing ) of the Celtic sea (Ireland-Wales-Cornwall-Brittany). Some of us are heading over to Brest for the international maritime festival...not so much DIY but a great gathering by all accounts (it will be our first time with Aegier)
If anyone is planing a trip eastward in the future do get in touch? the gulf stream is still keeping us ice free and fairly mild!! We might be able to connect you up with boaty support, anchorages and the rest.
