I remember seeing a video of the 'Rapian' with Bob Moog presenting, I think the length of the 3 level key was adjustable..... you might find a video on you tube - Steinway makes (or in the past has made different size keyboards for their pianos...) PaulPb

Has anybody invented a way of varying or adjusting the width of keys on a
keyboard so that players with vary different hand and finger sizes can play
the same instrument with only a few seconds of adjustment?

Experimenting - with what I would imagine to be more comfortable (possibly different key design...) Although I could see running into problems - like the rod bending over time - (if raised or 'secured') It got me thinking = shorter rods - less keys (spread out over the keyboard) = I've seen a few different "piggy back" designs so there are a variety of ways they could work.......
