- Variable Key Width - 1 Update
James Adrian <jimadr...@gmail.com>: Feb 02 02:07PM -0800
Has anybody invented a way of varying or adjusting the width of keys on a
keyboard so that players with vary different hand and finger sizes can play
the same instrument with only a few seconds of adjustment?
Thank you for your help.

What makes you think about raising or lowering the keys? Do you mean to
make the surface more or less slanted, or just higher or lower?
Experimenting - with what I would imagine to be more comfortable (possibly different key design...) Although I could see running into problems - like the rod bending over time - (if raised or 'secured') It got me thinking = shorter rods - less keys (spread out over the keyboard) = I've seen a few different "piggy back" designs so there are a variety of ways they could work.......
