If you watch it, I think you'll know why I think it is absolutely vital that they be involved. While describing the big picture, it clarifies their own niche in it - one often overlooked, i.e., the legal landscape for making a DIY / sharing economy work and expand. Although SELC partner Jenny Kassan attended NEI, she spoke about finances. There was nothing at NEI about working over the legal grey area between simple sharing and business/regulation which, the way Jenny and Janelle Orsi present it in the above video, looks pretty fundamental to getting bottom-up initiatives rolling and maintaining..
