Dear Jake, Ashley and Joshua,

The Sustainable Economies Law Center
http://www.theselc.org/

This video of them is one of the best I've seen for covering the broad ground accessibly
http://vimeo.com/30310506

If you watch it, I think you'll know why I think it is absolutely vital that they be involved.  While describing the big picture, it clarifies their own niche in it - one often overlooked, i.e., the legal landscape for making a DIY / sharing economy work and expand.  Although SELC partner Jenny Kassan attended NEI, she spoke about finances.  There was nothing at NEI about working over the legal grey area between simple sharing and business/regulation which, the way Jenny and Janelle Orsi present it in the above video, looks pretty fundamental to getting bottom-up initiatives rolling and maintaining..

Best of luck to all of you!

Coheartedly,
Tom

Tom,

>>the legal landscape for making a DIY / sharing economy work and expand

Agree!  Have you look into the debt-free "nondominium" and revenue-sharing concepts that Chris Cook has pioneered?

Some backgrounders in the links here:
