Friends,

It is less than a week until the DIY Economy Retreat and the energy is building. We’re excited to have each of you participating, bringing your talents and expertise, and most of all for your commitment to a movement that seeks to enable everyone to create the DIY Economy.

To us DIY Economy is a movement of people designing economies that work for them. Through our work together at the retreat we seek to create an experience filled with meaningful connections and the development of a coalition that will spread this movement. Our aim is that everyone at the retreat leaves feeling empowered, seeing themselves as an ambassador and catalyst for community change.

As the retreat hosts, we are working hard to create a space for us all to discover and establish a common orientation toward the DIY Economy - what it represents, what values inform it, and what the world will look like once it mainstreams. We, of course, want to hit the ground running, so we’ve created a Google group that will enable you all to get to know one another, begin conversations about your work and your interests in the DIY/New Economy Movement and start the conversations and relationships that will optimize our time together.

We understand that Google is not everyone’s preferred method of discussion, but we do want to give everyone an opportunity to connect ahead of the retreat.
