On Monday June 7th, Dr. Lisbeth Goddik from the Oregon State
University Food Science department will be presenting at the monthly
OMSI Science Pub lecture at the Bagdad Theater entitled "The Cheese
Stands Alone: The Science Behind Oregon’s Acclaimed Artisan Cheeses."

Lisbeth is one of the local cheese experts and had played a central
role in getting many local artisan cheesemakers off the ground. She
has been overseeing the installation of a pilot cheese production
plant at OSU, with the goal of eventually getting it propperly
licensed to produce cheese. She knows a lot about making cheese.
Also, Mariano Battro from La Mariposa, an Oregon artisan cheese
producer, may be joining her.
Doors open at 5pm, and the lecture starts at 7pm. I will be there at
