I liked the article, except when he mentions "the growing body of
evidence that the optimal diet is mostly plant-based.". Just the other
day I was reading some slides on the metabolics of fat storage (1),
because I was unfamiliar with the pathway dietary fat might take to be
stored, and it mentioned that most plant-based economies live on
carbohydrate mainly. So the article seems to disservice the kind of
plants that are important... the ones that might not provide much
energy, but provide tons of minerals and vitamins and insoluble fiber.
