Anyone interested in being part of a  diybio group in NCL...(newcastle upon Tyne,  uk)
It's time!
We can do some cool stuff..already have interested connections with Centre for Life and ncl uni.

Well you know I'm in Brian. I could donate a centrifuge (worth about £600 new I think) and a PCR machine that appears to be in working order (unconfirmed) and a few other bits and pieces for your lab if you like? I don't really have space for them and I would rather see them get used.

How will you get sufficient numbers on board? That's the problem I faced. I'm sure people would be interested, but this list has a rather limited and select membership (a bit of a niche really) so the task will be how to get the word out and create enough of a buzz to get folks interested enough to take part. Targeting the student community to some extent might be a start. I will defer to your judgement and experience in these matters of course.
