Looks neat.  Do you have a cost estimate for it?  If it is more than OpenPCR then you will not get much attention, but if it is less you may make a lot of folks happy.

Looks good. Do you have a heated lid for it? Otherwise you will have to f*** arounf with mineral oil, which would be a pain.

the final assembly should come with a heated lit. From the blog:

"One block is not mentioned and that is the heating cover. The heated cover is a lid that covers the samples and prevents condensation on the vial caps. As the thermal block, the lid has a built-in temperature probe so the regulatory logic can keep it at about 105 degrees. No need for a H-bridge here. A simple mosfet switch will do."
