Hey everyone,

The members of Open Science Network (OSN) have been working diligently to build Vancouver's first Community Biolab. We launched the OSN website last night after a hard push to get it ready. It is a work in progress but an important step towards building interest and getting members. Please have a look at the site and let me know what you think. As many of you know it is a challenge to build a community lab as a volunteer. We hope to prosper and punch above our weight.

No obligation and no problems for those who choose not to, but we would be grateful if people on this list can contribute a small amount to the PayPal CrowdFunding campaign on the website. The Canadian dollar is now ~3/4 of the US so the American's on this list get even more mileage in supporting us!

Maybe some of the Canadian's on this list caught this article that we are featured in the Globe & Mail news site over the weekend. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/biohackers-self-experiment-to-achieve-superhuman-bodies/article26767323/

If you are in Vancouver or plan to visit from afar, feel free to contact us. We would love to show you our lab. Also, I will be at SynBioBeta in San Fransisco and would love to connect with others who are going. You can contact me offline via the website's contact page.

Cheers,
Scott Pownall, Co-founder, Open Science Network.
