Any "Genetic Engineering for Dummies"/ Getting Started tutorials out there?

I've looked through a few of the existing "Getting Started" topics here, but they require a level of knowledge that is beyond me right now.

I was wondering if there are any tutorials, whether typed or in video, that can teach genetic engineering to someone that know a little biology at max.

Like how Khan Academy can teach/explain to you clearly a topic that you know nothing about, is there a person/people who has/have does the same for genetic engineering?

Videos or writings that you can follow along in little experiments/demonstrations that help new people learn and grasp this field without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars in tuition fees.

The field is very broad and very deep, you need to keep studying as
much as you can. Pick up a PDF of a recent biology text book. Read
through this:

you can easily spend months of time reading the materials there.

Yes, this mailing list is full of people who will respond to your questions!

Post specific questions you have here, whether it's about supplies or
theory. You will get answered.
