Local group in Turkey

Dear all,
There is no a local group in my country. I want to cofound a DIYbio group in Turkey. What should I do? How will I found any sponsor?

Sponsors are not that easy to find... Usually it starts with three or four people buying pGlo for 10$, get some E.coli k12 derivate from a local University and make them glow. Then they buy cheap equipment from ebay and get some traction. Other people and investors will eventually follow.

Big advantage if you are living in a major town.
