Hello guys, nice to meet you!

My name is Rafael, i'm from Brazil and work as a programmer.

Well, i just want to know more about biohacking/diy bio, but, i don't know anything about bio.
What i need look first? I'm talking about "modus operandi" of the whole thing.
The tools that i need, where to find and buy (maybe in the web).

I have a plan to know better about this topic, and unite others people to join this nice movement.

Sorry, my bad english. If you guys, need any help (with something related to programming =D), i'm pleased to help too.

I guess that giving help with my knowledge in another area is a good way to learn too.

Welcome!  I would recommend finding a project that you think is cool, and then finding out how it was done.  You could check out some igem projects to look for inspiration (just google igem).

An other programmer who's been studying biology for a couple years now.

If you are starting from a low level, review the school biology and
chemistry programs. Find a couple of good "university entrant" review
books. Khan Academy is also a good source of school-level knowledge,
but don't limit yourself to it.

Do this before autumn. The 7.00x course should be given on EdX again
this fall. It will get you to a level that lets you read current
research papers (with a bit of help from google and wikipedia).

And welcome.
