Just to piggy-back on this, my name's Mark and I'm also looking to find a team to apply to
indieb.io with (and more generally to get involved with the DIYbio movement).
My background is in electrical engineering and computational physics, but I've done significant coursework in biochemistry and biotechnology, so I do have a basic knowledge of the field. I'm most interested in synthetic biology and the data processing systems that might accelerate it, going from machine learning algorithms running in the cloud to custom-designed digital circuits for local, real-time massively parallel data processing.
I'm currently based in Belgium, but once I submit my thesis (next few weeks hopefully) I'd be free to relocate anywhere in Europe, depending on the opportunity. If there's any other solo founders or partial teams out there who think I might be a good fit to work together, I'd love to hear from you (either on-list or off-list)!
Best regards,
Mark
