Hi guys, I was wondering if it is possible to substitute Sodium thiosulfate for Disodium EDTA as a chelating agent for alkaline lysis of E coli cells. I would also like to know if sodium acetate could be used in place of potassium acetate for the precipitation of genomic DNA and renaturing of plasmid DNA. Thanks!
