Protein absorption by body?

Is their a genetic link to protein absoaction by body? Families have this problem.This gets solved with better kidney health how?How to improve recycling of proteins by kidney?

Hm - there's many different types of malabsorption syndromes. Here's a good overview:

The kidneys are involved in processing and eliminating protein degradation products, which is why they are involved. I assume there are genetic factors involved in all of these aspects, whether it's secretion of digestive enzymes, absorption in the gut, or kidney functioning. We've only scratched the surface in terms of finding specific genetic mutations associated with various health outcomes.
