Basic Function and Scope of the Position:
We are not looking for an Automation/Robotics wizard. We are looking for a fast paced, multiple component, dynamic, multidisciplinary Taskmaster. You will be stretched and challenged working on automating life changing assays that will help us decode the human immune system. But it doesn't stop there; you will be helping connecting what happens on the laboratory bench to the robotics platforms of choice to the benefit of patients. If making a difference in the autoimmune disease space and working with cutting edge technology with a fresh approach is your cup of tea- apply.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work with staff scientists to translate, execute and run automated protocols on OpenTrons platform
- Procure best practices in automation and work on scalable solutions
- Develop pathway for validated processes and standard operating procedures
Preferred Educational Background:
- Bachelors in Science, Engineering or Robotics
- Near term completion of Bachelors maybe considered
- Bring your best Lego/Mechano/3D printed creation
Preferred Experiential Background:
- Experience/exposure to fluid handling robots
- Experience with open source platforms
- Experience interacting with laboratory scientist
- Ability to document, organize and quantitatively assess risks should be in your DNA
