Sir

This is Sunil Phani. we are amazed to learn about significant work you put in at IndieBiotech.com

Open Source Biotechnology for Everyone i am fan of your website, your site means a lot for us who are staying in third world countries like in india where poor economic conditions not enabling hemophilia patients to access costly commercial Antihemophilic Factor VIII which is not manufactured in india and importing at high prices is not possible for poor patients in india

We are planning to set up a Recombinant Antihemophilic  Factor VIII (recombinant dna protein ) manufacturing unit for an NGO in india to empower poor hemophilic patients with life saving drug like Recombinant Antihemophilic  Factor VIII and reach our goal to achieve “Hemophilia without Disability and Children without pain”  . Due to obvious capital crunch issues, NGO has decided to execute the project in crowdsourcing mode and we are looking for a  eminent partner like you has the expertise to guide us in this projects.

Because Recombinant  Antihemophilic Factor VIII protein production process line will be similar  to Recombinant Insulin production process line hence after seeing your “DIY Biosynthesis of Insulin and Thyroxine – Disaster Resilience and Personal Biotech”  we thought of seeking your help us by preparing a “DIY Antihemophilia Factor VIII step by step or SOP”

once again we humbly request and pray you to help us by providing cell line and every single details to DIY Antihemophilia Factor VIII,

your act of kindness by helping us will be highly appreciated by every hemophilic in india

Thanks & Regards,

Sunil Phani

How's the legal circumstances in india? I immagine it should be easier to do a gene therapy with AAV. Because FVIII requires extensive glycosylation IIRC, so you probably cant use insect cells? If it is possible to do in plants I can provide agrobacterium vectors.

Yeah, there's always a gene therapy solution in my world^^ Usually factorVIII will have a point mutation that renders it useless right? So if you would introduce a correct copy, it shouldn't be immunoreactive, as the fragments (except one aa) are already shown on the major histocompatibilty complex? Right?

Is there a chance your government would allow that research and provide labs? And allow animal trials in that direction?

sorry for the delay in response, yes you are correct hemphilia  can be cured with gene therapy

using Adeno-associated virus (AAV) and it can be done in india under legal framework.

we are not a government organization here in india, but we are from an NGO recognised by

government of india who are dealing with hemophilia patients in india.

and we are glad to inform you that we are interested in your ideas and we want to collaborate

with your research to prepare a pilot scale project to exercise your ideas with agrobacterium vectors

and AAV please send us your proposal to take necessary actions and make proper arrangements to implement your ideas

i once again reiterate that your act of kindness by helping us will be highly appreciated by every hemophilic in india

Thanks & Regards,

Sunil Phani
