Hi,

I'm applying to grad school for international economic development
this year and to get in I need to take a few more math classes. Right
now I'm taking Calc 3 as a directed study and I'm using an online
textbook/lecture notes. I thought it would be good motivation to be in
a group like this where everyone's working on math.

Hi Amy,
Which online text are you using? If, like so many of us, you learn
well by following lots of worked examples, then you may find the
Schaum's Outline that Joe referred to earlier to be a useful
supplement. I know there were times when that approach worked well for
me - especially when I was having difficulty figuring out what a
question type was really asking me to do.
cheers,
Alan

Cool, I will check it out. I'm using:

http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/CalcIII/CalcIII.aspx

It's been working pretty well for me, it explains concepts and then
follows with examples that you can work through, and lists solutions
directly below. Also it's written conversationally so it's easier for
me to understand and follow on my own.

Thanks again for your tip,

Amy
