Complete noob with Java and my programming experience is more than 20 years out of date. I did modify the copper perf to be plain perf. Not sure how to add this to the library so everybody could use it but I compiled the program (or are they all apps now?) with plain perf in the boards folder. Attached the .java for those interested.

I would like to make some of the Radio Shack board but that is a bit beyond me right now. The Dip-1 276-159B boards have spacing that is not 0.1". I have have made a crude copper trace of half of the board to build a crystal tester from Ham Radio, June 1990 (PRECISION CRYSTAL FREQUENCY CHECKER By Michael A. Covington, N4TM1). I've included the .diy file for that as well. The switches on the schematic are Dots and Traces. The lines are Traces that have been thinned. I didn't use Line because I am an idiot and didn't change the color.

There are also a few 1950s projects I would like to layout that used something similar to a peg board with 0.25" center-to-center holes. Might not be worth making it a component.

Hi,

Thanks for writing. In cases like this I prefer to extend the existing component rather than create a brand new one. I see two easy ways to do it: add a checkbox "Show solder pads" and have it on by default for backwards compatibility...or add a numerical field "Solder pad size" and when you set to 0, it doesn't show anything.

As far as radio shack boards...I prefer to keep stuff like that as templates, rather than components, because it can be made using the existing components. To do that, just create a blank radio shack board and place it in templates folder. It will offer you to load it at startup and you can always use File -> Import to add more boards from a diy template.

Cheers,
Bane

Sounds like a good method but I don't know how to do that, so its not easy. I am just hacking bits together to see what works to get what I need.
