Paul, thank you very much! And thank you all for the well wishes; I had a pretty nasty gastric event that knocked me out for the past two days but am feeling much better this morning. 

A singult is a sigh, as detailed in Johnson's Dictionary Online. It comes from the works of Edmund Spencer. I considered changing it after belatedly discovering upon a similarity check revealed it was similar to singultous, which means "afflicted by hiccups," selected by Tim Lodge in round 1736, but since Paul Keating was the only DQ I elected to keep it in place.
