My wife and I had an elaborate plan to beat the crowds (estimated to be a million+) in and out of Seattle today, none of which came to pass, but all of which ended up much better for my end-to-end experience. My initial light rail foray was foiled when someone decided to steal copper wires from the original rail station we planned to depart from. Seriously? OK, a bus ride got us close enough to walk with plenty of time to enjoy a good breakfast.
The ceremony was awesome. It's one thing to watch things on TV and celebrate with family and friends. It's a totally different experience to yell and scream along with tens of thousands of people at the same time for a shared celebration of a thing. I highly recommend it.
The initial return-home plan via a different train route was foiled due to a "we won't start that service for 4 more hours" reply (helpful but not what they'd put out on the internet yesterday) but a brief walk to the light rail led us to an uncrowded return and escape from parade chaos.
Anyway. Back to Dixonary, which I expect most of you find more important than me celebrating my sportsball team which, despite only comprising teams from a single country, proclaims themselves "World Champions". But again I digress.
Anyway... at this moment, I have 12 (had to fit that in there) definitions, including one from a dictionary and 11 (JSN's number) from the following players:
Tony Abell
John Barrs
Tim Bourne
Eric Boxer
Paul Keating
Tim Lodge
Judy Madnick
Efrem Mallach
Mike Shefler
Nancy Shepherdson
Gail Terman
If I missed you in the above list, yell at me. If you haven't yet submitted a def, submit!
