I had to look everywhere for them, and I hope I found all your defs. (I'll make it easier on everyone if there's a next time...)

So here are 13 definitions for you to suss out the real one from. This is such an imaginative and varied list, which is great, for a word with no obvious derivation at all.

Please vote for two by 10am CST Wednesday (3pm GMT).

Now get out the vote!

I'm not sure I agree with the statement in green below. One partial derivation could be the suffix "-el" referring to the Divinity in Hebrew, often found at the ends of proper Biblical names and names of angels. I'll try #12 for that reason, though it would apply to #11 as well. My other vote goes to #1 because it's so utterly absurd that it just might be right! (If nothing else, someone will get a one-point reward for creativity.)

I agree with Efrem that the shape of the word suggests Hebrew. (I tried and failed to come up with a plausible definition along those lines; my utter lack of Hebrew did not help.)

I don't think that this word occurs in the Bible. And the announcement post's reference to capitalization suggests that it is not a proper name.

I vote for 5 and 6.

I don't believe 1 but will reward its author.

I'm also skeptical of 7, wondering if there's another word for overturning three times.
