Here are ten definitions of AMADAN. That is a bit few, but my alternative is extending the deadline by 36 hours. Choose exactly two, and post your choices in reply to this post, which you should do by Monday 27 July at 17h00 CEST. That is 47 hours from time of posting, and ⏱️ hours from the time you read this. Early closing will apply as usual.

There would have been 11, but my definition isn't there. It was sent on 7/24/2026 at 2:04 p.m. to definition‌@‌boargules.com — did I miss something?

I'll vote for 3 and 4.

Judy, I can’t find it, even with the timestamp, so that I know exactly where to look. Did you get an autoresponder acknowledgement?

And, while hunting for unsuccessfully for yours, I also turned up a definition from Tim Lodge that I missed, even after having sent him an acknowledgement.

This round isn't going well.

To be perfectly honest, I don't recall whether I received an acknowledgment. It was a busy day, and I went through my emails very quickly. I can forward it to you if you would like.

Well, if you send a copy to the same address, that will at least replicate the circumstances, and may help establish where things went wrong. Depending on whether you get the autoresponder acknowlegedment (which, if you get it, will now tell you that your submission is too late), I will know where to look further for the cause. That won't fix anything but may indicate what can be done in the future.

Paul, resent my definition and received your automated message.

... and I got your definition this time.

So that looks as though the first one did not arrive at my mail host, or did and was bounced. It is possible you might still receive a bounce message. They get very low priority. Let me know if you do.

Paul

I sent my vote message before reading the messages already sent in this thread.  Thanks foe admitting that you'd left out my def - I wasn't expecting many votes anyway!
